Bot’s station access urbanization (Via Verda de la Terra Alta)

The new stairway communicates Bot's Major street with the old station and the Via Verda de la Terra Alta. Every design choice is made with the low-tech mindset. Ceramic bricks, galvanized steel, lighting poles. Every urban element and material melds into the landscape.

Playing with the stairway's geometry and escaping from a strait path by braking it into three parts from top to bottom whilst adding resting spaces on each turn allows the stairway to convey a pleasant relaxing sensation. A completely straight stairway tends to exaggerate its slope and make it look more stressing and less appealing.
